I began working on this quilt in November 2008 at the first quilting retreat for Sew Many Treasures quilt shop. It was a pattern from The Quilter magazine (November 2006) made with large paisley, dot, and floral print fabric designed by Kaffe Fassett. I finished the entire quilt top during the weekend retreat and then it took me another two years before I finally had it quilted. This is the first and only quilt that I have ever sent away to let a professional quilt. I normally like to do my own quilting but it was such a big quilt and the price was really good… It turned out beautifully! I love the stitching! I got is back this month, spent a few days sewing on the binding, and now it finds a home on my bed! As you can see my cats have claimed this as their own!
