I made this little “quiltie”  (I borrowed that term for tiny quilts from Quilt Nut Creations) in October 2010 out of Moda’s Fruit Cake fabric.  Brenda, at Sew Many Treasures, asked me to make it to hang as a sample in her store and I obliged.

It went together in one evening and I quilted it and finished the binding the next evening.  Brenda had it hanging in her store until just last week when she told me I could take it home.

I quilted it with the free-motion mitten design that I also did on my Christmas Shoo-fly (that quilt is still hanging in the store).  I used variegated Sulky thread for the quilting.

I think it turned out really cute!  I am using it as a little candle mat on my coffee table next to the Party Light nativity scene which I leave out all year long… because I love it! :)
