Hope Valley Lattice

Almost two weeks ago I finished my Hope Valley Lattice quilt. I've been talking about it all summer since I first bought the fabric in Calgary in May and now it's finished and photographed. I really love this quilt. I would have liked it to be a tad bigger (queen sized instead of lap sized) but I think it's beautiful none-the-less.

On the backing I added a piano key strip with the label on which I printed the name and details on fabric with my inkjet printer! Pretty cool, don't you think?

I quilted it using a grey Aurifil thread and a swirled hook pattern.

I had a great Thanksgiving weekend. I finished Merry Moosemas (except for the hand stitching) and finished a Halloween table runner that I purchased fabric for last year in Florida. Aside from all the sewing I spent a lovely day with my family enjoying delicious food and the blessings of being with the people I love most!

  1. Love the quilt and the quilting, and I just love the back art and the way you incorporated the label. Good job!
