Sara crocheted these adorable pink cowboy boots and matching hat for a sweet baby named Quinn! Her family are ranchers here in southern Alberta and this was the perfect gift for her! Little Quinn has been around for several months now and I’m sure that she has worn these sweet little shoes a few times to keep her toes warm!
I have been falling behind in my crochet endeavours lately, but Sara is maintaining breakneck speed on her projects! She is nearly finished all the squares for the sampler afghan we are both making and she has managed to make several other projects in the meantime!
Sara made this lovely Dr. Seuss themed blanket for her new nephew Liam!
That is Sara on the right and her sister Jenny holding the blanket. Isn’t it adorable? I love the different widths of lines and the colour choices she made. Here’s a close up of some of the detail.
I think she hopped the hat would fit him a bit better, like actually provide so sun protection, but it seems to be a bit small. I blame the pattern though because Sara is so precise I’m sure made it to the exact parameters given!
As fo me, I haven’t done nearly as many cute gifts but I did work on my Blackberry Salad afghan while I was down in Arizona last week. Here is my progress so far. Its about 1/4 of the way finished.
Hopefully this weekend I will get my Summer Sampler finished (I have 3 sides to bind) and I will post that very soon!
