Drum roll please! After two years I finally finished my Summer Sampler! Horray!
I made the quilt top during the summer of 2011 with Faith (Fresh Lemons quilts), Lee (Freshly Pieced) and Katie (Swim Bike Quilt) and their Summer Sampler quilt along. I really wanted this quilt to also be a free-motion sampler and that is one of the reasons I waited to quilt it. I wanted to practice and make sure I knew what I was going to do for each block. So this year on May long weekend I did nothing but quilt quilt quilt for 3 days! This quilt is really dense with stitching but I am so proud of what I did! I'm finally able to post the pictures of my final quilt! I used all kinds of colors of my lovely 50wt Aurifil thread. I think the pictures speak for themselves.
I couldn't be more pleased with how this quilt turned out! It's my best work so far! I love the quilting, the design, the layout, the blocks, the colors! I am really excited to finally share it with you all! I learned a lot while making this quilt and I had a lot of fun being part of the quilt along and Flickr group in 2011.
